Fuji GFX50r and Lightroom

I have imported the files to the Lightroom the first time since I started using this camera without noticeable negative effect. I saw several unsatisfactory comments towards the combo of GFX and Lightroom in the past and some said the better choice is Capture One. I would like to know where was some difficiecies of the Lightroom. Thank you.

Cannot comment about C1, but there was a time that many people saw problems with the way LR handled the X-trans files of the Fuji APS-C cameras. Some went to C1, others to Iridient, many were perfectly happy with LR. I believe the GFX cameras are Bayer array sensors and LR should handle the files as well as it handles any other Bayer array camera. When I rented a GFX, I used LR and otained what I thought were spectacularly lovely files.

been completely happy with LR and GFX files, in fact I think I end up doing less to those files than I do my Sony files.

I haven’t tried C1 for GFX but may try it now the gradient tool works in a similar way to graduated filters.  The previous interface for that tool was a non-starter for me.

Lightroom Classic CC 8.2 and Lightroom CC 2.2 was released yesterday with the new feature Enhanced Details. This feature was designed with several purposes in mind - one of them being improved XTrans rendering. Give it a try and let us know how it does!
