FS: Aperture magazines
« on: January 03, 2019, 11:50:18 am »

Aperture was a fine art photography magazine that featured both contemporary and historical photos. No ads, no equipment stuff, just photos and essays. Highest quality printing. I came across the issues while cleaning out a closet and would hate to see them go to recycling. Very good condition, there are issue numbers 87 through 102 from the early to mid 1980s. They are yours for $50, shipping included in the CONUS. The photo shows 4 of the issues.

Maybe a local community college photo art program would appreciate them ?
Or maybe a photo club library ?

FYI: Aperture back issues go for anywhere from U$15 to US50. You could check with Aperture to see if they could use your back issues. I have a full collection starting with issue 77 as well as a few earlier ones; all going to my alma mater's library once I croak. I am sure that there would be a a library or art school that would be happy to take your issues.

A while back I donated all my old Apertures to the Addison Gallery of American Art, a small museum (with an excellent photography collection) at Phillips Academy in Andover MA. They were quite happy to have them for their library.
