Question about Proof Profile
« on: December 31, 2018, 06:34:24 am »

Hello

I have question about COP > View > Proof Profil

I now understood how the Processing Preferences (Recipes) and View > Proof Profile > Selected Processing Preferences work and how the images are displayed on the monitor.
Very nice thing I haven't used so far.
See first screenshot with Verarbeitungsvorgabe JPEG sRGB QuickProof and Proof Profil
Ausgewählte Verarbeitungsvorgabe.

Now one more uncertainty which hopefully can be seen in the three other screenshots.

A) Processing specification selected in proof profile.
Here sRGB Colorspace profile is displayed on the monitor, isn't it?

B) In proof profile HFA_EpsSC-P800_PK_FABaryta.
Here I have selected the above profile of the Epson printer with baryta paper.
Color representation is slightly different from A).
Why?

C) In proof profile HFA_EpsSC-P800_PK_FABaryta and proof selected.
Here I clicked on eyeglass symbol=proof view.
Color representation is again different than with B)
What's the matter with this?

That still confuses me.
Who enlightens me?

Jochen

Your text is confusing me and I do not quite understand what you are asking. Second, I can not link the images with the text.

Hello.
Thanks for feedback.
I will write a first explanation.
I understand Verarbeitungsvorgaben (Recipes).
I have about twenty different Verarbeitungsvorgaben.
Some with sRGB, some with Adobe RGB, some JPG, some TIFF, some scales and so on.
(Other settings not relevant for my question later).
If I click on one Verarbeitungsvorgaben and use Proof when Ausgewählte Verarbeitungsvorgabe are selected in View I see on screen this relevant picture (sRGB, Adobe RGB and so on)
Is that right?

The proof profile in the drop down menu will be the "default" profile when looking at your images in Capture One.  When you select the Eye Glasses icon from the top of the window, the profile in the currently selected Process Recipe will become enabled and over ride the "default" profile.

If the "default" profile and profile in the Process Recipe are the same, you'll see no change when you select the Eye Glasses icon.

I'm not native english speaker so I ask for right understanding.
You mean drop down menu in View >Proof Profile?
See screenshot with questions.
Example_1 and Example_2?

Example_1 or Example_2 will be your screen's profile.  Not both at the same time.

The "JPEG Adobe RGB 80%_Qualitat Full Size" will be the profile used for your Process Recipe's output.
