Wonderful find. As the accompanying text suggest, there’s a sense of change and maybe foreboding in the pictures. One thing I noticed, at least in the shown set, is how few women appear in those pics which, to me, adds to the sense of apprehension.

Those cars do it for me: VW; Triumph Herald; Ford Cortina; Jaguar; Humber Hawk or Snipe; Sunbeam; Anglia and either an 1100 or 1300 Morris or other Leyland product of badge engineering.

Surprisingly unsharp, really. The verticals suggest a shift lens that was certainly available then, or perhaps the verticals were done much later on by somebody else in PS. If Kodachrome, as is suggested, then it must have been one or the other of the above; I can't think of another way to have used it except in 135. It was available in the UK, briefly, in 120 format, but then it would have created another set of alternatives such as film backs on a tech. body and would have been crisp enough to cut your fingers. However, the image shape does suggest other than 135, I think.

The shot that includes the Sikh gentleman shows a distortion on the light building on the left that I seem to find familiar from my Nikkor 35mm shifter.

Well Russ, I didn't say always. But in those particular pictures, which already have a sense of foreboding, yeah, the absence of women does add to the tension.
