LCD Dot pitch

I am currently using an 17" IIyama display with a Diamondtron CRT with a dotpitch of 0.25mm.

I am interested in the 26" NEC LCD2690UXi widescreen display, with a 1920x1200 resolution and a .287 dot pitch.

Over here the price of this monitor (1300-1400 Euro) is at the same level as the Eizo S2410, but not the Eizo CE240 (1800 Euro).

I wonder what you tnink about the dotpitch...is this to much for a photographic monitor?

That depends on whether you intend to view that monitor at the same or a closer distance than the 17" monitor. The 15% difference in dot pitch isn't much, but the pixels on that LCD monitor are square, and might bother you a bit more if you're too close.

I would expect you to sit a bit farther away from that 26" monitor; I know that I prefer sitting farther away from my 23" monitor than I do from the 15.4" laptop monitor I'm sitting at right now.

But as with many other things, this probably comes down to personal preference.

That's exactly the same thing I'm wondering. 26" Nec model seems to be excellent display (it covers 92% of AdobeRGB !), and the price is ok (for such display). I'm seriously considering that display, but dot pitch bothers me. I guess new 24" Nec would be better option for me, but unfortunately it doesn't have same specifications as 26" model (it only covers 72% of AdobeRGB).

I'm used to fine resolutions (at the moment I have 1600x1200 on 19" Sony Trinitron CRT and it's optimal resolution for me). I'm really afraid that 1920x1200 on 26" will be too big for me (another problem is that I can't see it before buying - I can only order it, without preview in shop).
