USB3 Extension cables for X1D

Hi,
Does anyone have a USB extension cable of 3 or 5M length that is known to work tethered with the X1D, please?
Hasselblad say they have only tested it with a Deltaco brand 3m active cable and the ones I can source easily haven't worked so far.

Well the distance is as long as possible (:-)
I need to be able to walk from a portrait shot to a full length shot so 5 metres total as it needs extra to get to the computer. The camera cable is probably 2m so another 3m extension at least or a single cable from Tether tools may fix it.

So the solution I found that works is the TetherPro USB-C cable.
This is a 4.6m cable with USB (normal male) connector at one end for the computer and the USB-C connector for the camera at the other end.
A straight cable with no additional connectors is required.
This works with or without the TetherBoost Pro so I would not buy the Boost until you have tried the cable first.

+1 for the Startech powered usb cable solution. I use 3 5 meter powered cables to go from my bicycle hydro/ wind trainer to my desktop computer to the cycle-ops software and it actually works.

I haven't tried the Startech and so I can't comment on them.
What I can say though is that every cable I had bought, being a 3m unpowered cable and a 5m powered cable all worked fine on file transfers to a self powered USB drive attached at the end and none worked with the camera. There are multiple things affecting connection such as power consistency, latency etc.

So because cables work with some things does not mean they work tethered to cameras.
The TetherPro cable is 4.6 metres unpowered and works.

So whatever solution you want to use you need to physically test it before buying.

The other thing to consider is that if the cable is powered by the computer then it will drain the laptop battery faster.
You also need to check that the computer is not actually powering the camera. On the X1D there is a setting for Powered by USB.
