Nikon Z6 Raw Files wont open up in LR Classic CC

  I just received my long awaited Z6 with 24-70 lens I took a few test shots and the IQ looks fantastic on the JPG files. I tried to open the Raw files up in Preview and then in the Most Current Version LR Classic CC ( 8.0)  The Raw Files are NEF
  In LR when I try to Import says the following :  The files cannot be opened in LR   DSC_0027NEF

  Any suggestions ?   I appreciate any help to get this resolved.   Thank you  Dennis

Yes the Z7 has been out for a little while but the Z6 has only just been released and is not yet supported

While waiting for Adobe's support you can use latest Capture NX-D to convert RAWs into TIFFs.

The DNG Converter beta supports it, so you could get the files into LR by converting them to DNG. It also means that a LR update is probably coming.

  Thank you for those who responded.  I did find out that LR has Not been updated for Z6 as of yet.
