I took the following selfie (almost 8 years ago, now) as a reminder. In truth, genetics played a much more important role than lifestyle. But I still try to make healthy choices. At the same time, I try to be good to myself, and to "live for today". 'Cause ya just never know about tomorrow.
I've had two heart attacks but no surgery beyond a couple of stents. Cholesterol, as far as I know, rather than anything else. The first one arrived with the pension, if memory serves, but my hair mostly vanished a long time before that. I believe it makes me look more streamlined than I did when I had some - a lot - more.
Funny how some photographers never lose theirs: both Avedon and Newton took it with them, disproving, once and for ever, those who say that you can't.
One becomes philosophical about it, because nobody gets out of here alive, it's just a matter of how and when, after which, being in another dimension, it probably doesn't matter one way or the other.
I wonder if there really is a big studio up there or whether it's all available light? I might even get a Leica R 6.2 with unlimited, pre-paid Kodachrome that
can still be processed.
