Sunset on Lofoten
« on: November 14, 2018, 04:34:47 am »

Sunset was a little after the time of this picture which was 14:29. Very much to the north in February and the days are short. The angle of sun is max about 15 degrees, so the sun can be used for photography the entire day including a long twilight of 1.5 hours. This photo was shot with my 11-24mm lens at 11mm and I was attracted to the rock and all the patterns and details with the fairly high mountains in the background where they look a lot smaller than in reality. I used a warm filter to give the look.

Lovely light. Ant textures in the rocks.

Wonderful image.  The large area of light in the bottom right balances the bright sun in the upper left.  Great use of triangular shapes.
