Loading Epson Legacy Paper P800
« on: November 09, 2018, 08:13:44 pm »

A simple question for Epson P800 users. With Epson Legacy paper, where are you loading it? I saw the video here on LL and they Epson guy said it should be loaded in the front. Well, I don't know if anyone is having the same experience as me but it doesn't seem to work. Any advice would be great! Tired of loading in the back and getting scuff marks on most of my prints!

Open the FFA tray, insert the paper from the rear roll feed, align it to the front guide of the FFA tray. Press LOAD. There should be no scuff marks if you are doing it carefully.

Thanks Mark...love your analysis of different papers...brilliant. Is there anything in the driver settings that need to be changed. For example if you are going to use a textured paper the ink must be changed to matte black but I'm using either Baryta or Plantine so it will be Photo black.

Yes - you select the Media Type in Printer settings to which the paper profile is keyed. The Media Type needs to be the same between the driver and the paper profile.
