Err 70 - Canon 5D Mark IV - Anyone else get this?
« on: November 06, 2018, 05:14:00 am »

Setup for last two days:

Canon 5D Mark IV, tethered to MacBook Pro.

Shooting the Canon's own software on the Mac.

8Gb Sandisk Extreme card.

Yesterday, in about 8 hours shooting, I had Err 70 twice. As per Canon instructions, I turned off/on the camera and continued.

So far this morning, I've had it three times. Again off/on is fixing it.

What tends to cause this? Camera? Card? Cable? Something else?

Anything I should be looking at?

Does the frequency increase?

Thanks.

D.

The only time I've seen this happening was when multiple people were sharing one camera, each using their own SD card. Some cards would trigger the error and others would not. Or was it error 80? I'm not sure.

I guess try to reformat your card in the camera to see if it helps?

Did you half press the shutter button, or any other button on the camera while DPP connection was made?
