« on: November 04, 2018, 05:20:55 am »

hi
I have refillable ink cartridges for hp z3200 and I want to refill it with oem ink
Can I use ink from bigger hp z for example z6200(hp 771>> 775ml) to refill the z3200 or the chemistry of ink differ ?
if not what ink compatible with z3200 (Only 5400 ????)

Of the 771 cartridge inks the PK is at least compatible as I have used it in my Z3200. Not in a refillable cart but in a HP 772 cart, easier to refill than with the 70 carts.  I have more confidence in carts with an integrated membrane pump.

My gut feeling is that the MK of the 771 is the same too. One would assume the Yellow, Light Cyan, Magenta, Light Magenta, Chromatic Red are compatible too but I am not sure their density is the same if compared to the Z3200/Z5400 inks. Head technology is very much alike though, same generation, similar droplet size. With the 5400 you know at least that it can use the 70 carts too so the ink has to be the same in both 772 and 70 cartridge. On top of that 775ml  Chromatic Red is a bit too much for my shop. Using the 772 carts with a 70 chip is more convenient than refilling.

Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst
