Need help with HP z3200 drivers

I have the raster driver installed but seem to be missing something in Utility.
I have no access to Paper Preset Management.
I am unable to load the cd as my drive is not working.
Where is the HP Color Center?
On a Mac. 10.11.6
Also cannot get cutter to work. Paper advances but does not cut.

Found the separate Utility download. I now have Paper Preset Management.
Seem to have everything solved except still no cutter, must be turned off somewhere.
It is turned on in the utility program as well as on screen. When I push the cut button on the panel it forwards the paper but does not cut.
No icc information on Lexjets site for my most used Sunset reserve bright matte canvas.
Anyone using this media on a z3200, would love to hear your settings.
This is like going back to aviation school for a new jet type rating..

If you're using canvas, you can't use the cutter. You have to cut it by hand with a utility knife or xacto. There's a metal groove along the edge to use as a guide.

For paper, you press the cut button (bottom left) and then ok. It's a 2 step process. Or turn on the automatic cutter in the printer's interface.

Why wouldn’t a state of the art printer not cut canvas?
Is this another one of those where the manufacturer says you cannot do it but you really can?

I think some canvas has little stiffness across and folds up when struck by the blade . Other canvas has a more rigid structure and cuts nicely. But if a softer one bunches up when the blade hits it it makes a huge fabric mess inside the printer. So I think from the manufacturers point of view it's best to say no to  canvas.
Printing mostly on canvas for eight years, on several machines has let me be able to tell in advance what will cut.

Not sure if z3200 is considered state of the art, even though it is a great printer. I think for the reasons enduser wrote and maybe it dulls the blade quickly or something. Thicker media <350gsm is probably the weak spot for the z3200 though in terms of loading/handling but the prints still look great.

I think I will just set my 9900 up for all canvas as it does a great job cutting canvas.
Some say the Epson will not cut Canvas, I beg to differ. Just replaced my first cutter after 8 years and over 4000 canvas cuts.

Dan, the belt of the Z3200 that pulls the head carriage is the weakest part of its design.  It is used for pulling the cutter too. I would not give it any stress above manufacturer's recommendation. Get an electric rotary cutter to make the cutting along the edge easier.

I just pull the canvas to the front edge of the printer, using that as a guide, and use a box cutter blade, starting at the left side. Real simple.

Hey Dan -
It is as everyone has said.  The slit in the front trim and a safety edge razor blade works fine for trimming.  I also use one of these:

EC Cutter Electric Cordless Scissors



Quality all the way - works great.

The Z3200ps prints so well on canvas - it's one of its strengths actually.  You'll get used to cutting the canvas manually after a while. 

Remember, this is a lighter weight printer - it's not a beast like the Epson and Canons.  Need to baby it a bit.
