Mizarela is located in Serra da Freita, Northern - Central Portugal mountainous area, in the District of Arouca. As with any interior region it suffers from human and economic abandonment. I have recently visited the area, which is rich in cultural and landscape heritage.
I am currently going through the (many) images I shot, this is just a panorama made of 17 vertical shots to try and convey the character of the countryside.
