Nice images; they reminded me of our visit to Bordaeaux last month. On the promenade next to the Garonne river and in front of the Place de la Bourse is the Miroir d'eau aka Miroir des Quais. It is claimed to be the world's largest reflecting pool, covering 3,450 sq metres (37,100sq ft), and the water is 2cm (3/4") deep. It brings a smile to everyone's face as they paddle around. In summer fog rises to about chest height every 15 minutes, which causes more smiles.
Best wishes,
Jonathan
