Do you mean from Mavericks to High Sierra?

Or (perhaps more likely) High Sierra to Mojave?

After leaving this thread I thought of that as well. If so I'm running High Sierra on my iMac. It is a year too old. Running Mojave on the laptop and no issues at all. The only minor change so far that I have seen is Grab. They got rid of it and now it is Screenshot. Don't have to Command - Shift  - 3 anymore and it is crop-able. I don't use dark mode yet.

Make sure everything you use is 64 bit. Mojave does not support 32 bit apps.
You can check what you are currently running under About This Mac > System Report > in the left column, software, applications. This will show what is 64 bit and what is 32 bit.

You can still run 32 bits apps in Mojave, you will get a warning. Probably next release will not allow it.

Mojave is the last version that will support 32 bit. All the warnings are out for everyone.
