Flowers (at least they aren't cats)
« on: October 14, 2018, 09:08:33 am »

Time has been short lately so I have been finding myself wedging in some short shoots in the garden just to keep the hand in.Critique welcome.

I find many flower photos (including my own) pretty boring, but these have some real spunk and character.
I especially respond to the first two.

The second one in particular is out of this world great. Nice set all around.

Thanks for the kind encouragement guys.
It is true that despite their inherent beauty, flowers are hard to photograph to produce an interesting image. There are a lot of choices on how to approach the problem and how to deal with DOF.  I do all of my shots outdoors and where I live the breeze very rarely stops so I spend most of the time waiting to catch the short pauses in motion.Chuck
