Thank you; iPads are even more a challenge to my fingers than the computer keyboard!

For some reason, the work reminds me of Bruce Davidson's subway series.

I understand your point of view, and it's always difficult for a new person to make pictures in the same kind of environment without drawing reference to earlier work in that genre.

One has to accept that being appreciative of another photographer's work does not necessarily imply plagiarism; especially in such volatile circumstances, close imitation is nigh impossible. Also, inspiration doesn't mean a slavish copying but, I hope, an appreciation that a particular form of travel (visually) is worth taking up.

I am not, of course, saying you accused the girl of plagiarism, just that it's impossible for anyone with a photographic background and a bit of curiosity in his soul not to be aware of similarities here and there.

It was really meant as a complement.  Clearly the work is different.  It's the feel that I was reacting to.

I wonder if being female gives her a sense of being less likely to be reacted against violently? I would have thought that for any woman, wandering the streets between 2a.m. and 4a.m. (which she says is her M.O.) would be extremely risky on all counts. Especially carting a Leica around with her.

Hope her luck holds or she has a strong companion.
