Thoughts? I wondered about cropping off some of the bottom.

Idyllic. Far superior to seals and other cold critters.

You're just averse to any thought of cold, Russ  ;) I assume that's why you live in Florida.

But thanks!

Jeremy, if you begin with the right bottom there is seldom need to trim it.

Leave the bottom alone. If you trim away that first sunbeam it's going to look crowded.

My wife tells me that mine was one of the things about me that she found (and, thankfully, continues to find) appealing.

Or were you referring to the photo?

We should club together and buy one for Russ.

Depends what you want to portray with the image. If a lovely late summer day, than no need to crop. But if you intend to attract attention to the curve in the road, as your title implies, then you might want to crop both top and bottom, something like this:

No, Slobodan's the one who needs it. He's a cropper.

There is entirely too much info in this thread that could use cropping... !

Maybe we could come up with a committee to decide on what gets cropped. We could call it "share-cropping."

The official uniform (must be worn at all meetings) would of course be Slobodan's tee shirt.

I can see exactly what you mean, Slobodan, and I rather like that crop. Not that it matters, but in fact it was very early morning.

I've just remembered that the large tree on the right in the uncropped version featured in the very first pic I posted on LuLa, nearly 12 years ago: https://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=12600.msg80402#msg80402.

Jeremy,

Your 2006 shot would go well in the Photo Chain Challenge thread which recently has been showing trees in fog.

I seem to have missed that boat: it's moved on to badlands now. Timing is all, as the comedians say.

I prefer Slobodan's version.  It has more impact.
