Hasselblad X1D with Kipon Adapter for Canon and 24mmTSE lens

So I got the EF-X1D adapter a couple of days ago and had my first chance to try it today.
The adapter comes with absolutely nothing. No instructions, no charge cable, no front or rear covers.
So you will need a USB to Micro USB (Samsung style) charge cable and probably an XCD Rear Lens Cap and a Canon EOS Body Cap.
The instructions are sort of available in Chinglish on eBay where you buy the adapter.

The shots today were just to see that it worked and if there was any vignetting or other usage problems.
It all seems to work Ok. To turn on the adapter, dial in the F stop you want and press the thumb wheel in as it is also the button to set the aperture. Press again to release.
Set the camera on Electronic Shutter.
I set the camera's wifi to fire from my iPhone.
An iPad would have been better as you could then check the focus easier. I missed it a bit.
Also with the iPhone you need to set it to Aeroplane mode. I am not sure why, but it is probably an IP address clash.

Anyway, the good news is that it works and so I now have a portable medium format kit with tilt shift. A similar thing with my previous H4D would have required the big and costly HTS adapter.
There is a significant delay in firing with a dark period in the EVF and so tripod only work is the go I think.

One huge thing to remeber when using canon lenses on the x1d in this setup, is that flash will be disabled.... since you have to use the cameras electronic shutter with this adapter.

I have that adapter for sale by the way, if anyone doesn't want to wait for the china shipping and wants a better price.....

Rastas I just bought your Kipon adapter on ebay 

I have a X1D on the way and will be trying it out with my Canon 17mm and 50mm TS-E lenses.  I haven't seen anyone try the new 50mm TS-E on it yet so that should be interesting.  Thanks for the tip on not being able to use flash.

I'll report back with any interesting findings...

By the way, I have the Cambo version of a similar adapter for Canon EF to Fuji GFX-50S from when I had the GFX system and it worked well (but the Cambo adapter was way more expensive than the Kipon version, although there are some small differences, like the Cambo comes with a small portable charger for the adapter).  My Cambo adapter for the GFX is available for purchase for 50% off is anyone is interested...(I'll be posting to the buy/sell board soon).

Information on the other tilts would be good to know. No flash is a limitation, but not a big one when shooting landscapes. For portraits and product I am using the HC 80 and 120. I would probably eventually get the XCD90 to replace the HC80. The HC 120 I will probably keep as you are always manual focus and can use the extension rings also.
