Seems like a great performer at an affordable price.

Bernard, no experience with that one, but my son-in-law has a DJI Mavic Pro, and I’ve been impressed with both its small size (folds up for travel) and picture quality for the price. They’ve just released a new version with a Hasselblad-designed camera that seems worth checking out.

Like Dave, I have no experience with the Parrot, though our 2nd operator owns a dji Mavic and the imagery under the right conditions is good and he's very good at operating it.   He also took training and completed the FAA course, which doesn't apply to Bernard in Japan, but I recommend anyone using a drone to take the course, relative to your region.

I looked up the Mavic Pro 2 with the Hasselblad camera and if I buy that or the Pro Zoom.  I think they cost 1000 to 1200 pounds.

Kinda off topic sorry but I have the Mavic Pro 2 on pre order to use primarily for Still Photos but I am on the fence. I thought the camera sensor was rated for 14 stops of DR but my sales rep just told me that was in only in HDR mode. I have never used any kind of HDR mode on a camera, is there any repercussions or compromises I will encounter to shoot in HDR mode rather than the Native mode?

I shoulda asked the Rep the same question while shooting video with it. I am not sure if it is in HDR mode to get 14 stops while shooting Video.

Well, they are using the Sony 1 inch sensor, so performance should be similar to the Sony RX100V I would think.

I own one, and it very good for a small sensor, but of course not FF sensor class. It has the same level of DR as the best FF sensors from Nikon about 10 years ago.

I am not sure exactly what version of the Sony 1 inch sensor they are using. There have been different iterations.

Hasselblad color science is mostly about profiles I believe, which we know is important of course.

The mavic 2 pro does look good on paper, be interesting to see actual performance. I have a much older Phantom 3 but it is adequate for my needs. As a side note DJI does own a big chunk of Hasselblad so it does not surprise me, they have been talking about adding this for a long time. There is also a more industrial version and if you use a large enough drone, even Phase One has put their 150mp chip onto a drone camera.
