Lighthouse at Neist Point - a different perspective
« on: August 15, 2018, 09:35:34 am »

The lighthouse at Neist Point on Isle of Skye is photographed a lot, mostly not from this angle from what I see. Ultra wide angle at 14mm (FF) to include the foreground with the rock and the reddish coloured lichen (I believe they are called).

Love the use of shadow to bring out the character of the elements in the landscape. Also how you maneuvered to ensure space between the lichen rock and the one in the ocean above said rock. Just excellent!

Very different from the "traditional" view but I like it a lot and the inclusion of a rich foreground is just perfect.
Well done!
