I'm pretty sure this is the way the Universe really began. It's just an exploding neuron.

Golly!
How many exploding neurons do you typically encounter on your daily walk?
I have a hard time finding any in my neighborhood.   ;)

Excellent observation… John must be living in a very special environment! We're lucky to have him!

Thanks guys. I just wanted to try things out. You never know what's going to happen when the Universe starts expanding ;)

I read that as a map of your most recent daily walks. Right?

Nice colors and lines but if, as Eric wrote, it's really a map of walks, then you should have a couple of drinks and see if you get different lines/maps!   ;D

Thanks Eric and Francois. My map has taken a detour to the more sombre side. Part of the surreal city if you look hard enough.

Nice cityscape.

Thats what they mean when they refer to "soaring towers."

This is another wonderful shot. I especially like the light blue sky and metallic look of the building…
The movement is also perfect for those towers.

Thanks Francois and Eric. Yep, it's those steely blues that caught my eye - all two of them. But you know I can't leave out the CPU which is located somewhere between the eyes 8)

A more intimate landscape. The sun was almost below the horizon and behind some clouds when I photographed this little icy stream. The light was almost flat. But soft hues of yellow and blue against the underlining green algae could not be denied.

Winter grip on those trees gives a strong image. I like it a lot, of course.

Thanks Francois and Eric for your comments. As always, when the weather or light or ground conditions change, old scenes can appear refreshed, as with this stream-boggy area. In other seasons this area is visually and physically inaccessible and is filled with thickets of bushes and plants. Now the stream and bog appears widen open. I am glad I didn't pass it by.

This one is my favorite. I like the way the pink tones delicately merge with the blue. It looks like an intriguing place.

Thanks Eric, Francois and Arlen. It's such an ephemeral quiet, almost delicate scene that I tried to process it so that softer colours will come to the fore. Here is another iteration. I like to work my subjects. It helps to hone composition skills.
