Thanks again, Francois and Eric. Surreal autumn for those that like colour and other ways of seeing autumn.

Both of these are quite classy, and the first is absolutely stunning.

High Park is really fine in October, suitable for an autumn walk, like this-

or may also think certain trees resemble the legs of a heard of confused elephants-

or you may think the serene green of the canopy has a surreal tranquility-

or you may think it is time to go home because it is getting eerily dark-

Yes, another stupendous set and I like the last one a lot. The darkness suits the subject very much.

That's very nice, too.
(Even though the autumn colors seem a bit subdued.   ;)  )

It's because it's late autumn and winter is around the corner.

Thank you gentlemen. The colours of autumn will return, even if more subdued.

This image somewhat resembles some of the paintings by the group of seven. Taken yesterday at the Guelph arboretum.

Could this be autumn's last dance?

What! ...you never heard of a graft? I hear this is the curse of PS and modern digital photography.

Maybe this one is better. A multiple exposure straight out of the camera, no flim-flammery.

If you had taken this one 30 years ago, would you have said:
"no film-falmmery?"   ;)

I'm finding it rather difficult to create a night time atmosphere in color. It was almost dark when I took this shot, with just the glow of the sky bouncing light back into the trees. Yet the images look like daytime, so I used nik software to reduce brightness and retain some of the glow.

Or shoot in side/toplight as the sun goes down and get something like this.

The second is delightfully wild, but my pick is the first, which is elegant.
