Nice and soft pastel colors… The movement is also "elegant".

Yes.
I think John has been taking ballet classes and he always wears his camera with the shutter open.   ;)

That's the best explanation I've read!

Thank you Francois and Eric. As long as I don't have to wear a tutu, I'm ok with the ballet analogy ;)

Here we have a similar sweep with fuller colours; less ephemeral, but just as whimsical and expressive.

I love that one too, John.

But I'm a little embarrassed at the idea of you out photographing without your tutu.   ;)

What can I say, I still had my tights and was able to twirl. See here:

Fantastic series, John. Reminds me of some of Freeman Patterson's work.

Thank you Eric and David. Patterson is inspirational and a fine photographer and great teacher. If you ever saw him in person at a seminar you would know right away. He wrote "The Art of Seeing," an inspirational book that broke the mold of the how to books on photography back in the 80's and 90's. It was more about learning photography as a means to express yourself and aesthetics, not just the craft. He emphasized learning to see. All slides and no post processing!

I can sometimes manage good images with ICM even in harsh sunny light. Here are two from the last few days of glorious Spring!

If I had any stock in IBM, I think now would be a good time to sell all of it and invest it in ICM instead.

The last two images are really intense, wow! My favorite is #1, I especially like the contrast between the pinkish and the white flowers.
Well done for both!
