This one came out rather well. The blue is from openings between the leaves. Or, if you believe it, I painted it.

I'm sure you painted the whole thing.   ;)

Could it be a zephyr? An unusual word once learned is hard to forget. And excellent for Scrabble too.

Not really that good, but I saw the chance to suggest an unexpected theme. Thanks.

Stones would play, a lyric from a song - that is what these scenes remind me of. Water rushes over and around the rocks and stones along the river bed creating little areas of rapids.

A lovely set, John.
And it shows Russ that you can get nice blurs even with a sharp lens and a steady camera.  ;)

First is a rare inland whale. The second is a common river serpent. The third is the bars on the zoo-pool where you plane to keep them, right?

The first two are excellent, John. You lose me with the third. I think the reason the first two work is that in both there's an in-focus link to reality. #3 just looks as if the camera has a problem.

This time the camera held staeady, but wouldn't you know, the subject matter moved. But like how it came out surreal.

I like it. There's enough solid there to anchor it.

Thanks guys. Like Russ, I try to photograph the subjects that come before me on my walks. Russ has his style and I have mine. I have an idea what Eric's work is like, but to have to wait for Eric to get better so I can see him in his element. And I am looking forward to it. So you have no choice, get better fast! I love Keith's work. Formidable and creative. Let the show go on...

I much prefer the Water one here.

As for health, I am recovering nicely, but still need to get stronger before I can explore exotic places for new photos. The pickings near where I live are pretty unexciting right now.

I'll be happy to put my name on that one.
Just wait a minute while I use the spot healing brush to remove the JMR.    ;D
