Your daily walk is always a treasure.

When I go out with camera near my home, I think I should start asking myself, "What would John see here?"
Thanks Eric.

Many of them are both attractive and interesting to look at.

From a walk in James Gardens... or should I say a crawl. The first gives an idea of the subject matter I was working with. But this is only the garden area. There a long trail that follows the Humber River. Both impressionist and abstract.

I am still enjoying this project. At some point consider editing it down and doing some sequencing and curating. It’s really lovely in my opinion.

+1, because it is interesting to follow the progression.

#3 and #5 seem to stand out where intrigue is concerned, as well as compositionally.

#1 I feel needs a different/stronger composition
#2 could maybe use a square crop to get rid of the top left green bit. Seems a bit unbalanced in color.
#4 nah, too video, too contrasty for my taste

imo, ymmv, c.e., etc...

Thank you Eric, Martin and Oscar for your comments and interest. Martin, if I was doing a show, of course I would cull and edit my photos. But the idea is simply to show what I can do on some of my walks with the material I have. Right now I have too many responsibilities to go afar or try a more urban environment, such as downtown Toronto.

I think it’s great as it is. No need to go further. Just do it with your daily walk. It’s awesome

I walk my dogs every morning. Usually at 4:30. For a lot of the year I walk in total dark, just the street lights. You have inspired me to do something similar. It will be very different as I live in a fairly challenging place but it will be my daily walk.

I think you for the inspiration.

Thank you again. I wish you luck and look forward to seeing what you come up with. The more you do this, the more you will come up with interesting ways to convey your everyday subject matter into something that is at least worth trying and looking at.

From James Gardens walk, July 28.

This last image is an accident. Had the camera in multiple exposure mode and didn't realize it.
Took image of clouds then a flower swirl and this is result. Not especially good,
but interesting and it gives me ideas!

Pretty darned interesting for an accident. It reminds me of an orbital image of North America, with some giant space vortex spiraling down to a point on the west coast of southern Mexico.

Your "accident" works better than most of my intentional shots.

Hot and humid last night. Got bitten by mosquitos for the sake of art. If you stand still, they got you. Took a whirlwind tour, so to speak.

I'm surprised the mosquitoes could keep up with you.
