The last of these six is the most "John R" to me, but they're all nice.

What...what... not John R...grrr- just kidding. Thanks for the comments. I like to change it up once in a while. I tend to photograph whatever comes my way. Here is one from the other day along the creek:

You've got a good eye, even when you don't have the "shakes."   ;)

Thanks Eric. That's what I tell newbees all the time, if you want to take good photos you need more than good shaky technique.

What's that spy movie song called, "for your eyes only." Many thanks again Eric. Fact is, there are many fine photographers on this site. May be I will take a break. See what others post.

I love your abstract work - it's an area of photography that I've been spending more and more time with recently (though mine tends mainly, though not always, toward minimalist abstracts vs. your highly colorful compositions) - so I watch this AND the abstract thread closely.  I just haven't had much time to shoot anything but commercial architecture work in the last 6 months, so my own contributions are lacking.

But I do enjoy yours.  Along with Slobodon's travel/architectural work and Rob's back catalogue, (And some of Ezra and Kitchen's stuff in the pro section) they're posts that most often make think about new ways of visualizing things.  (Which isn't to say that there aren't other great photographers here as well - there are - I just respond to what I've listed here)

Nice compositions on all three pictures, John

Thanks for the comments. Yes, they are flowering onions. High Park is still quite beautiful any time of the year; also the largest in the Toronto area. Unfortunately, the upkeep has gone down in the last few years due to cutbacks. Thanks for the comments.

Visited and walked the creek last evening. There was a record rainfall in Toronto and as consequence, they actually yellow taped the entrances to the creek. Even the park area had some flooding. Just look at these seagulls acting like its bath time. But I did manage a few images.

Your daily walk is always a treasure.

When I go out with camera near my home, I think I should start asking myself, "What would John see here?"
