Russ, the repair guy wanted to know how to take ICM images. Most of my camera club wants to learn also. But I take your point- it's true, not everyone likes impressionistic images.

Thanks Eric. Where would I be without at least one fan ;)

John,

Inspired by some of your earlier ICM shots, I have tried a few of my own.
My ICMs tend to come out more like ICCs, where the second C is for Confusion.

Maybe if I had good ballet lessons as a kid, I might be able to do a little better. But trying it myself gives me a better appreciation of the skill needed to do ICM well.

Sometimes you get lucky and capture interesting phenomenon, like the yellow flowers reflecting in the undulating water.

Some texture and character of a still young Hemlock. It bark(s) but it don't bite.

Somewhat cliche, but the small creek nonetheless has some wonderful rapids to photograph. Of course that meant I had to lug around the tripod!

Thanks for the comments, Ivo.

Probably should put these in abstracts, but they are part of Daily Walk series.

That first one J, has a very nice touch to it... The subtle colors and movement have an equal balance in repulsion and attraction as the image itself has. I think that could be considered an asset where abstraction is concerned.

Thank you Eric. The image comes from this scene but was taken at slower shutter speed. There may have been a wind also.

JR

PS- rapids added because they are part of daily walk.
