11.2 performance regression?
« on: August 10, 2018, 09:21:28 am »

I find 11.2 awfully slow on my Mac pro... anybody else with the same issue?

Cheers,
Bernard

I saw no difference from previous versions either on my Windows or iMac platforms...

I’ve been using 11.2 for a while and haven’t noticed any change.

My 11.2 version has started locking up on me. I'm opening a previously edited file and I'm trying to display the mask in a local adjustment layer. It locks up the 2017 MacBook Pro every time. I have to force the MacBook to restart by cycling the power.

Hi Bernard,

I would guess it is about GPU-acceleration.

Best regards
Erik

I will, thanks. It is set to automatic and has always been very fast during interactive operation and batch jpg/tiff generation.

This being said, I have added some free space on the root drive and ran Norton (who found 6 issues) and it seems to be back to normal now... No idea what happened.

Cheers,
Bernard
