New & Very Strange Lens

Hi all, I came across an article and an embedded video for this rather strange looking lens. It resembles a thin telescope with a large base to attach it to your camera. The footage they took for the demo is very impressive but as one who is scared stiff of stinging insects, all I can say is that videographer was VERY brave!!
I have no connection whatsoever to this company.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the heads up. Interesting macro lens, waterproof and with built-in Ring-light.
Cheers,
Bart

Back in the day, I did a lot of product photography with a periscope system similar to this. It is definitely a fun way to shoot small things. Lighting, for example, is far easier and less limited than with conventional closeup lenses.

In the motion world, when you had to get a 35mm Arriflex in close, this type of “probe” lens was essential kit. We used to use a version made by
Innovision
.
I like this version with the ring light built in!
