statue
« on: July 24, 2018, 02:48:00 pm »

In St Paul's Cathedral, during my daughter's (very long but ultimately enjoyable) "rites of passage" ceremony, to celebrate her becoming a doctor.

Very nice, Jeremy. And congratulations to your daughter.

Thanks. She's done well: first a nursing degree and now a medical. She has two years in Birmingham before going to Sandhurst and emerging as a captain in the RAMC.

I broke the rules a little when taking the photos of her part of the ceremony. This was taken by my ex-wife from where we were actually sitting (and supposed to remain so).

First shot is very nice, I like the solemn aspect of the statue. The second one just shows how daring you are  ;D

Thanks. And you're right: I was taking the risk of being told off!

Who is "me" and who is "dad" in that picture? Aren't you the dad?

Well, he was there to see his daughter, so I guess there are two sets of people in the world - those who can extrapolate from incomplete data :-)

Very funny. There are also usually two dads at a wedding.

Here Slobodan, I'll try to clarify this for you. If you look at the photo you can see the "me" is the daughter receiving the diploma, therefore the dad can be only one.
