Beautiful reflection! The Black and White tones suit the photo. What make you do it in B/W? Sometimes when a photo has mostly one tone I try to see how a B/W would look like.

Hi Andres. I didn't particularly like the colors that were in the original, so I converted to B&W, and, bingo!, it was what I was after in the first place.

Nowadays I have a hard time with that kind of thing. In the fifties and sixties I shot B&W almost exclusively. In the sixties I used to roll my own 36 exposure Ilford HP4 cassettes from hundred foot spools. My eye was attuned to the graphics, which is a B&W thing. No more. I've shot digital for nearly eighteen years now and I've lost my ability to see in B&W. I have to do the conversion in Photoshop to see what I used to see right off.

You must be getting old, Russ. At 79 I still mostly see in black and white. It helps to be color deficient.

Another painterly capture - it's really nice.  It has natural "crunch" and the overall geometry is a lovely balance.  Very well seen.

Good one, Russ. Well processed too. Are you familiar with Clyde Butcher? ...of course being the odd ball that I am, I'd flip the photo vertically.
