Okay, let's try a little operational experiment.
Attached are three photos I made this afternoon during a visit to the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. I would categorize them thusly:
- Art Lesson. I claim this is a street photograph, notwithstanding its indoor location.
- Preparing the Giacometti Exhibit. (Which, unfortunately, opens later this week, after we'll have left New York. We did, however, see a number of excellent BrĂ¢ncușis.) Also arguably street, but I think it's a weak case. Not much of a narrative here. What you see is ... well, what you see.
- Exhibit Crates. Ceci n'est pas une pipe.
