Thank you Jeff... I did Google it last week which piqued my interest. I recently spoke with Awagami and Freestyle (their US distributor) and thought I'd share what I found...
Freestyle says:
"Hello David,
For all the papers, select Epson Velvet Fine Art for the media setting and the profile in your print driver.
We then recommend selecting "Photoshop Manages Colors".
Additionally, under "Rendering Intent", we recommend selecting "perceptual" with "black point compensation" checked.
Finally, because Awagami papers tend to render a bit flat, Eric Joseph who is the authority on Inkjet printing, suggests using the Velvet Fine Art profile setting you already have in the 3800 printer driver but also upping the Saturation and Contrast a bit to punch the color.
Hope this helps!"
Awagami - suggested creating custom profiles. They also said "Eric knows his stuff."
So I will test using the Epson Velvet Fine Art setting and hope for the best!
