Skyfire app
« on: May 26, 2018, 11:44:42 am »

Has anyone used the Skyfire service? on ios it is integrated with the The Photographers Ephemeris, but not on android, it is a standalone app. On android TPE has been pretty much left behind in the dust for planning apps. But back to the point, the Skyfire service provides a weather forecast and "color" forecast for sunset and sunrise. Here is their website:
https://www.skyfireapp.com/

It is subscription service and is around $45US a year. Yes they have to have infrastructure but there are other resources out there not as expensive. Does anyone use this on a regular basis? Do they find it useful? You can get a same day forecast for here:

Just curious, seem an expensive subscription service to me, but maybe I am missing something.
