Seems odd I have posted in the street sub forum but never a landscape here. This image from tg vast semi arid interior of South Africa called the Karoo For those interested in geology it’s also the Karoo super group.

Thank you. Growing up where I did, on the border with what was Zululand, I didn’t have access to much in the way of influencers but I did come across a treasure trove of work by people like Edward Weston, Stieglitz, Adams, White and the like when I was in my late teens. It was a profound influence and one that lasted way too long.

As a geologist, this is a great photo too. Reminds me a lot of the stark interior landscape of Oman.
