colormunki trouble
« on: April 19, 2018, 06:06:55 pm »

Hello All.
Have a 6 year old ColorMunki Display.
Has worked fine until today.
Here's the problem: IMac says it's not connected when it actually is and so it won't run the program.
Keep the unit in it's original box stored in a dry safe place.
The computer ports I've tried all work fine with other peripherals.
Would like to keep using it and avoid buying another and adding to the waste stream.
Thanks for reading.
Richard

I assume you've tried either another USB cable or if possible, another Mac?
It does or doesn't show up when you look at USB devices in System Info?
You should also try reinstalling the software for it!

Thank you Andrew.
It works now.
Restarted computer with device already plugged in.
Now I don't have to buy another one and have more waste to dispose of.

PS- Without you on LuLA this would be a much diminished site for computer challenged people like me.

Probably their goofy and unnecessary and buggy XRD protocol. That's why I suggested a reinstall. But seems a reboot did the job.
