Do we know who David Horn is? Or is it one of those cases: if you need to ask, you don't need to know? :)

His (along with Bill jay) well known book "On being a Photographer" is under £5 for the kindle version, and good read, even if it isn't aimed at landscape photography.

And I too enjoyed the documentary.

Cheers,

Thanks for the link, Tommy, even if my viewing kept getting interrupted by Spanish ads!

Watching the short meeting with Barbarella (aka Ms Fonda) was just another of those times when the value of experience and natural ability comes to the rescue: he just suggest she do some hand things, and there you had it: perfect understanding of what the camera needs in order to lift something from straight-in-your-face, blank stare, into a connection. Surprisingly, though it seems obvious and easy to do, not all that many people make it work particularly well - some find their own hands turning into paddles...

Thanks again.

Rob

Though I didn't know the name, I know that one photo with the cannon. I'm really bad in remembering names, but thanks good my memory for pictures is better. I liked the movie, thanks.
