BenQ creative workshop in Chicago

What a fantastic opportunity for those of you near Chicago, great price too, presumably BenQ helping on that front.   Just asking if you'll be doing a video around this? I know there's a walk involved but it might be fun to hang in the back and peep over all your shoulders.

+1  This sounds GREAT.   Wish I was close enough.

$35! Reminds me of an old joke: If steamships were 50 cents a dozen, all I could do would be to run up and down the
bank crying "My God, aren't they cheap!"

Chicago ain't as close as Charleston.

Sigh,

It would be great if you would live stream it.  Those of us who can't make it to Chicago would get the chance to learn a few pearls of wisdom.

The ability for us to do live stream won't happen during this workshop, sorry.  The logistics are something that will need to be looked at.  If this workshop works well we'll consider doing in other cities and possibly then do a live stream.  Spaces are running out so if you'd like to attend sign up now.

Kevin,

There was an email from BenQ to participants to "bring their laptops." Not everyone uses laptops. Any chance some spare ones would be provided?

Fly me out from New Mexico, I'll bring two MacBook Pros. Jeff, can I stay at your place if Solbodan sends me those tickets (business class would be ideal)  ;D

That's ok, Andrew... come to think of it, I won't need one. Watching Jeff in action will provide enough excitement for the day ;)

I figured as much. Stick with a pen and pad of paper; high tech.

Kev is out of country for a bit but no, at the price point of this workshop, spare laptops would not be doable.

(I'm saying that as an instructor not an organizer so you might want to ask BenQ but don't be surprised if the answer is no).

Hello, from Portugal.  No laptops aren't really needed.  For my part, we'll be taking pictures on a Photowalk and then I'll show how I edit them.  Jeff's part is a more watch and learn.  The time frame of this workshop is putting a lot out there in a short time.  We have been toying with a multi-day workshop in the future.  Let's see how this one goes.

.., For my part, we'll be taking pictures on a Photowalk..l

Workshop participants practicing Kevin’s creative advice to explore new angles for common subjects:

P.S. Just kidding, folks! It was a good photowalk and workshop.

Yeah, the cat told me that it was a decisive moment for her: the moment she lost all faith in the so-called, self-proclaimed superior species.

Definitely a heysoos! moment.

Just kiddin'... I think?

BTW, was anyone using eye-detection af techniques?
