Morning in the alps
« on: March 24, 2018, 11:39:36 am »

One of my favourite locations is Alpe di Siusi in the Dolomites. There are so many angles on this location that I could spend a week just there. This shot is from a workshop i was leading last year in June when the colours are freshly green and also the meadows are blessed with lots of flowers.

The camera was the Canon 5DSR and the Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens at 176mm.

You make a very good argument for using zoom lenses. Clearly you can get exactly the composition that you want.

Gorgeous as usual.

I like these smooth curves and also the contrast between the sunlit grass and the still frozen shadows.
