Hokkaido, Japan
« on: February 27, 2018, 03:01:07 pm »

I posted a few of these images in the Medium Format Forum.

All of these images were from a shoot in Hokkaido. Camera: Phase One XF IQ3 100. Interestingly, just about every lens in my pack was used every day. I have never been on a shoot where that has occurred. I have the 45, 55, 80, 110, 150 and 240 Blue Ring lenses.

I like this set a lot. The simplicity of #1, #3, #4 and #5 is great but I also like the busy, graphic look of the second shot.
Bravo.

Superb, all of them.  The high key ones are oh so Japanese.

Yeah, really nice images! That minimalist approach works so well for these.
I'd love to go there one day for skiing and photography.

Peter, Guido and Matt thank you for the feedback on the images. Matt in my research for shooting locations, there seems to be some interesting spots for images while skiing. Not sure how you could ski with a P1 xf six lenses and a tripod. I will post another group of images in a few days.

Yeah, ski photography requires some compromises. I haven't taken any MF gear skiing. If I was willing to not ski much I could maybe do it but I like to ski. :)

Maybe try it with one lens. The 80 or 110 might be small enough and be the right focal length. Also, the waist level finder makes the XF a lot lighter.
