Horrible grey morning
« on: February 14, 2018, 05:31:19 pm »

I was excited to get up early to go out and shoot a few of my favourite locations in Putrajaya Malaysia but when I arrived there it was that horrible grey, so I decided to take some long exposures and convert them to B&W.............what do you think?

Grey mornings are great for photography. All 3 images are good but the first one of the mosque would really pop in still water (on a grey morning).

That is actually my favorite kind of light to work with. :)

Looks like you turned a grey morning into a great morning. Beautiful shots and great reflections.

Nothing wrong with flat light if it suits the mood of the subject and your images certainly do just that, excellent!!!

#1 really works well for me. Way to get the shots regardless of whether it's your preferred light or not!

Another vote for #1. A longer exposure with blurred clouds (Vieri-style) might be even better.

If I remember it was about 3 minutes

Then you should have arranged for a stronger wind!
