Any advice about the pros and cons of using a compact technical camera like a Toyo VX23D, Linhof M679 or Silvestri flexicam with a sliding back and MFDB for portrait photography in the field? What interests me is using a camera like this as an opportunity to return to explore a similar way of working as I did with an old Crown Graphic 4x5 years ago minus the hassle of working with film and the weight of a 4x5 system. But maybe the screen would be too small and dark even with a focussing cloth, it would be too hard to focus accurately even with a magnifying loupe, and I would risk being arrested for photographing in public with a mechanical camera instead of a mirrorless iphone? Is this viable?
