The 28mm f4 is a remarkable design. It remains excellent even on the H6D-100c ten years after its release which is quite a feat.Cheers,Bernard
The Hasselblad HCD 28mm f4 is indeed a remarkable design and was* the best wide I'd ever used.* until I used the Leica 21mm Super Elmar f3.4 ASPH.;-)
On the matter of 21mm lenses: have you checked out the stuff that Jeanloup Sieff'used to produce with his 21mm on Leica? Brave guy: he took it along as his only lens on his first shoot for a big fashion mag and, to his surprise, managed to start a long relationship despite the fright he gave the editors.Rob
Hi Rob, not sure if I've seen it or not, have you a link handy? For some reason I seem to be attracted to narrow alleyways where I wouldn't be without that 21mm (the Hasselblad 28mm had a similar FOV).
http://jeanloupsieff.com/sieff.htmlSome Death Valley stuff in his book wouldn't have happened without a 21mm!Big difference to a mere 24mm...Rob
