The natural choice would be Milan itself and Lomc, Dolomite, Venice, Florence. But I have seen Milan, Venice and Florence before and I would not do ski.
The other place I am longing for and in about same distance of Florence is South East France, such as Burgundy, Provence.
I am particularly fond of old towns, such as Assisi in Italy where I have visited before.
