Ice bubbles II
« on: December 18, 2017, 11:41:37 am »

Skiing is still not so great here so I have been ice skating on a nice stretch of ice in a slow flowing canyon where the river backs up as it becomes Blue Mesa Reservoir.
I've really been enjoying finding interesting bubbles and wind up skating miles in the process. It's pretty fun for now but I really hope we get some snow soon!

Oh wonderful monochrome lava lamps! Can I still fit into my purple loon pants, find an old bean bag and play a vinyl Pink Floyd Album? Ken

Absolutely! Never seen this in this "pure form", and so many! i know only few bubbles at once. This is really an interesting lake.

+1

I could be sitting on that ice staring at those bubbles the entire day. I'd probably freeze to death and never even notice.

Hey, me too. Especially like No 2. It's another galaxy for sure.

Totally agree, amazing :)

Ken, oh deary deary me, you are taking me way back now talking about loon pants and lava lamps etc. Other items that were de rigueur at the time if my memory serves me correctly: an expensive and very smelly Afghan (a sort of untreated suede/skin coat for you young 'uns), handwoven tight cheesecloth shirt with flared sleeves and lots of brightly cololured stitching, leather headbands, tulip lapels, kipper ties, velvet jackets, very long unkempt hair, anything with sparkle on it and then when glam rock fully kicked in thanks to Marc Bolan, six inch heels and platforms and Oxford Bags, but thankfully makeup remained optional  ;)

It looks like the bubbles are in top of the ice in #1!  Nice!
