Mounting a Hasselblad V-series on Arca Swiss clamp
« on: December 13, 2017, 01:23:22 am »

I'm looking for opinions as how best to use a 501cm with my existing RRS/Arca-style ballhead. Is it fine to clamp an adapter to the Hasselblad plate, or should I replace the plate with this replacement foot?

Thanks

The one you show should work just fine. One of the many nice things about the V series Hasselblads is the ability to avoid the "L plate" (translation... expensive) dilemma. Just about any simple small Arca compatible plate will work. I used one from RRS but Kirk and I'm sure others make them as well. I suspect there's an inexpensive imported one on Amazon that might work such as https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Universal-Arca-Swiss-Standard-Ballhead/dp/B00J4B4TT4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1513445273&sr=8-3&keywords=arca+swiss+plate. The one from Breakthrough looks nice and inexpensive too https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Hand-Adjustable-Stainless-Breakthrough-Photography/dp/B06Y65G5P1/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1513445273&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=arca+swiss+plate&psc=1

Good luck and enjoy your Hasselblad.
