Lovely. I wish for a bit more room in the bottom, to see more of the lake.

I entirely agree, this could be a really great shot, but it needs quite a bit more 'breathing space' above and below, to allow the viewers eye to wander around and discover what else there is to see within the scene.

Try shooting loose and processing loose, then try cropping more tightly into the scene afterwards, so that you can adjust the framing until it starts to feel right  ;)

Here is a deeper crop showing more of the bottom and it does work better.  This location has only recently become available due to a large scale forestry harvest of thousands of conifers.  Driving up the narrow road from Loch Tay there previously was a virtual tunnel of conifers for a couple of miles obscuring any view of the surrounding area.  The remnants of a recently harvested plantation are not pretty and have been framed out of the scene.
