Traigh Mhor (Isle of Harris)
« on: December 03, 2017, 07:46:52 am »

Recently back from a few days on the Isle of Harris (Scotland) and we were blessed with wonderful weather for Photography (not tourists!) - stormy winds, heavy rain, clouds and a few breaks to let the sun through :-)

This set of 3 is from a few evenings on the beach at Traigh Mhor ....

For me, #1 for composition, leading lines, mood, subdued colors, and the right shutter speed.

Yes I prefer the first one, the other two are also good, but the top one just has that something special about it.

Bravo!

It does, although the light in the last is quite beautiful.

I like ‘em all, though 1 & 3 are the most immediately appealing. Displayed as a horizontal triptych 2 should work as a calmer place of rest in between the others.

#3 more me as well,.... white foam, golden sand with black rock in foreground.  If I may suggest a small crop off the top,  to focus attention more to foreground,... letting the viewer imagine the strong light illuminating the reflections in the sand.

I especially like the first one, but they all are intersting with great tones.

Another vote for the first, while the third one comes very close, and the second one is also nice.

#1 for me, for the same reasons as Slobodan. #3 could have been very special at the right shutter speed.

Thanks everyone for all the comments and thoughts; and I tend to agree #1, then #3 then #2 :-)

#2 for me -- simple, clean. Excellent, all of them.
